Windwall
Windwall is an inspiring means of coercive prevention.
Not only is it reducing the capability of suicide, but it's also adding value to the university as a whole. It's a sustainable, beautiful, and forward-thinking barrier that reflects well on the university by helping prevent public suicides as well as providing supplemental energy. Additionally, It's making the empty, dull space of a parking garage more beautiful with newly-designed wind turbines that interact with the parking garage as well as with nature.
Social Bridge
The Social Bridge is a motivational means of prevention.
It's meant to add value beyond suicide prevention. It helps prevent suicide by increasing social engagement in the space within the parking garage by making it a destination for students and passersby. Traffic patterns will increase in and around the space, including in the parking garages, because it will replace the crosswalk, be accessible to anyone, have a cafe, and provide a unique view of Columbus and High Street. Essentially, we're making the parking garage area a more accessible, socially engaging space, and the added people and energy will help prevent suicides.
